$10 Silent Film Romantic Comedy Night: Fine Manners (1926)

In a run-down New York Tenement, a chorine named Orchid lives with her overprotective brother Buddy, who sees to it that no uptown Casanovas get a chance at seducing his sister. At a New Year’s Eve party, the two are separated in the festivities, and millionaire playboy Brian Alden meets her, and they start seeing each other. Against her brother’s wishes, Orchid, at Alden’s behest, takes charm school-type instructions on how to be a society lady, and she seems to be turning into a snob. Alden regrets it, and after promising to allow her to be herself, gets Buddy’s okay to marry her.
