CENTENNIAL CELEBRATION: PROCESSION

To celebrate the theatre’s 100th birthday, a procession will begin at 5pm with a procession led by “Charlie Chaplin,” Grand Marshals Priscilla Presley, Micky Dolenz of the band “The Monkees”, Danny Seraphine, founding drummer of the band “Chicago” and the Garage Rock superstars, “The Ides of March”. Vintage autos, the Maine West H.S. Marching Band, Maine East Drama Department, elected officials, and other guests will all march from River Road to Pearson Street to Miner Street in front of the theatre. It will be followed by a blessing of the theatre and a dedication to original theatre owner, Barney Winkelman.
