RICHIE KOTZEN // ORIANTHI WITH GUEST MARK DALY

Arcada Theatre 105 E Main St, St. Charles, IL, United States

Richie Kotzen, of The Winery Dogs, has always been on a clear, laser-focused mission as an artist. While he is rightfully acknowledged worldwide for being a stellar guitar player, an emotive singer, and, frankly, a balls-out dynamic live performer to boot, Kotzen is quite aware he must maintain an ever-vigilant eye on ensuring one particularly important creative arrow in his artistic quiver continues to be properly nurtured — and that is his songwriting. As a vocalist, Kotzen’s impassioned style exists at the crossroads where the likes of Paul Rodgers, Terence Trent D’Arby, and Rod Stewart meet. With The Winery Dogs now headed back into a musical rest cycle, Kotzen is primed for what’s next.

Orianthi’s first major solo artist success, as a singer-songwriter and guitarist, was with the Geffen Records release of “According To You,” which is now RIAA-Certified Platinum® and has over 29 million streams on Spotify. Her music’s ability to transcend time and remain relevant cannot be clearer than its recent resurgence on TikTok. There are over 110 million views on the “According to You” hashtag making it a viral trend that is introducing Gen Z to Orianthi for the first time in a big way. Career-long fans are used to seeing their favorite world class guitarist playing arenas with rock royalty and global superstars like Michael Jackson, Carlos Santana, Carrie Underwood, Alice Cooper and more. The juxtaposition of her newly arrived online popularity and her lifelong pursuit of artistic credibility shows the transcendence of this shining star.

Cork-based Irish rocker Mark Daly is releasing some of his best music yet. His sound is raw, energetic rock music that has influences from classic rock, post-grunge, and modern rock, creating a unique blend that is Mark’s signature sound.

KINGS X // VINNIE MOORE

Notable hits include “Out of the Silent Planet”, “Lost In Germany”, “Life Going By”, and so many more!

Once Vinnie Moore picked up his first guitar at the age of 12, he became, as he describes it, a “guitar freak.” His earliest influences included – among others – Jeff Beck, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, and Queen. As a performer, Vinnie Moore’s resume is impressive! A member of Alice Cooper’s band, he toured the U.S. on the Operation Rock ‘N Roll tour, and also performed on Alice’s album Hey Stoopid. Vinnie’s own band has toured extensively as a headliner and also was chosen as opening act for legendary rockers Rush on the Northeast leg of their Roll The Bones Tour. In 2003, Vinnie joined the legendary group UFO and remains with the group today.

GREAT WHITE // SLAUGHTER

Arcada Theatre 105 E Main St, St. Charles, IL, United States

For Great White to continue to thrive 40 years in the music business, the mantra must be, these songs are bigger than any one member. GRAMMY nominated hard rock legends, Great White, are adding onto that line with the saying: expect the unexpected. It’s rock and roll, baby. The peaks and the valleys haven’t stopped– nor has the music. Great White’s ride runs deep and its passion for the music goes beyond any depth. To experience their hits live in concert – “Rock Me,” “Mista Bone,” “Save Your Love,” “House of Broken Love,” and “Lady Red Light”—is to ride an emotional wave of sultry connections, arousing lyrics, and an all-out marathon of hard-hitting orchestrations. Audiences might also hear tracks like “Stick It”, “The Angel Song”, “Big Time” or one of the many deep cuts from Great White’s 13 studio albums.

1990 SLAUGHTER hit radio, MTV and the U.S. touring circuit like a tornado- coming seemingly out of nowhere to roll through everything in its path and turn it upside down. Touring the world with bands that they loved, Kiss, Ozzy, and others meant the good times were just a song away, and their first hit single, “Up All Night” certainly fit into that mold, their second chart-topper, “Fly To The Angels” was more representative of the spirituality and awareness that goes into most of the band’s music and lyrics. But never were SLAUGHTER more accurately represented that live onstage in front of their legions of devoted fans over the last ten years! SLAUGHTER has shown that with perseverance and sheer talent, a band can survive and win over the support of fans, regardless of what others may say about the quality of their music. What’s most important is that their music is still here and the vast majority of critics who panned them in the past are not, and that’s as good as gold.

W.A.S.P. ALBUM ONE ALIVE 2024 WORLD TOUR WITH SPECIAL GUESTS DEATH ANGEL AND UNTO OTHERS

Arcada Theatre 105 E Main St, St. Charles, IL, United States

W.A.S.P.: Few Bands in the history of Rock N’ Roll have ever incited the love, the hate, the raw emotional effect this Band has had on the world. From the very beginning, in the small venues of Los Angeles California, and later to the numerous countries worldwide that banned these Winged Assassins from performing live, the Band’s unique style of Shock and Rock caused Religious organizations, Local City Councils, Parliaments, and the Washington D.C. Senate to hold hearings in an effort to bar this group from selling records and trashing stages everywhere they played.

The band’s founding member, frontman Blackie Lawless, has led the group as its lead vocalist and primary songwriter since its beginning. His unique brand of visual, social and political comment took the group to worldwide heights and sold millions of records alongside a legacy of sold out shows across the globe for 4 decades.

Joined by bassist Mike Duda and guitarist Doug Blair, whose tenures in the band span 26 and 18 years respectively, along with drummer extraordinaire Aquiles Priester, will take the Band and the Fans back to where it all started. Complete with the stage show extravaganza that many fans never saw live.

DEATH ANGEL: Not every band can live up to a legacy, but every once in a while a group exceeds expectations by pushing boundaries in a genre they’ve helped create. DEATH ANGEL is one such band and with Killing Season they have raised the bar for themselves as well as maybe even creating a new genre most aptly described as “thrash n’ roll”. Among the youngest bands ever to storm the metal genre, DEATH ANGEL have come to be known as one of the most influential bands to emerge from the thriving Bay Area Thrash Metal Scene in the early 1980s.

UNTO OTHERS: Unto Others is a metal band from Portland, Oregon that was originally formed in 2017 under the name Idle Hands by former members of Spellcaster. The band’s sound is a mix of heavy metal, goth rock, and new wave, with influences from The Sisters of Mercy, Killing Joke, and The Mission. Gabriel Franco, the band’s vocalist and guitarist, cites Spanish rock band Héroes del Silencio as his biggest influence. Franco’s gothic-style vocals are said to complement the band’s emotional and melodic guitar work.

PRE-SHOW VIP UPGRADE EXPERIENCE: WISHBONE ASH

Arcada Theatre 105 E Main St, St. Charles, IL, United States

The classic rock bands of the late ’60s and early ’70s enjoy a unique place in popular musical history. The Beatles had gone their separate ways, Britain had already experienced the Blues Boom, and Psychedelia had made its impact. The creative possibilities were infinite. Wishbone Ash embarked on the nascent Progressive Rock scene in 1969, taking full advantage of a fertile musical environment where they produced a distinctive brand of melodic rock. Inspired equally by British folk traditions and American jazz and R&B, the group played to public and critical acclaim. Fifty plus years later, having pioneered the use of twin lead guitars, Wishbone Ash has gained worldwide recognition, based firmly on a regime of relentless touring. The band includes founding member Andy Powell, who handles lead vocals and trades licks with Yorkshire’s Mark Abraha, Bassist Bob Skeat, a 25-year veteran of the band, drives the rhythm section along with Joe Crabtree, one of the best of Britain’s new breed of drummers. Recording highlights are, of course, the multi-million selling 1972 album “Argus,” considered to be one of the all-time classic rock albums, together with “Pilgrimage” (1971) and “New England” (1976). More recently, “The Power of Eternity” (2007), “Elegant Stealth” (2011) and “Blue Horizon” (2014) garnered enthusiastic praise. It was not until 2019 that the album Coat of Arms was to be released and that has proved to be a real career-capper. The band’s biggest seller, the double album “Live Dates” (1973), is one of the most highly rated live albums of the 1970s.

WISHBONE ASH: “WISH LIST TOUR”

Arcada Theatre 105 E Main St, St. Charles, IL, United States

Half a century spent touring while continually releasing live and studio albums, Wishbone Ash is now  gearing up for their “Wish List Tour”, an evening of requests gathered from their fans on social media. “I love the interactive element of this,” says Andy Powell, founding guitarist, vocalist and songwriter.”  We have so many chapters, lineups and flavours in our music.  There’s more than 500 songs, and we continue to write new ones.  It is fun to let the fans decide.” Using Set.Fan, and their social media platforms, the band has gathered up the most requested songs which will form the ongoing worldwide tour, beginning in the UK this Fall, and coming to America 07 November thru 07 December.

A special “Wish List Tour” CD will be available at shows, featuring the songs that folks might be treated to from the show. “It’s cool to realize that our concerts have become mini conventions of sorts for fans to interact with each other and the band,” Powell continues.  “It’s very much a community, like the jam bands have.  This music of ours gets to you! I’ve seen this occur multiple times over the years with different shows where the fan community rallies around a newbie.”
