Chicago Southside Italian American Rally Announced

In light of the recent discussions about Christopher Columbus, Chicago’s Italian American community will come together this Saturday, September 19th at 2PM for a “Southside Italian American Heritage Rally”.  The event will take place outdoors in the parking lot of The Old Neighborhood Italian American Club located at 3031 S. Shields in Chicago.

“This will be a red, white and green celebration of our Italian American culture, as well as being a special salute to Italian American heroes on today’s front lines,” said Ron Onesti, National Italian American Sports Hall of Fame President.  “We will salute those educators, first responders and medical professionals who have unselfishly gone beyond the call of duty during this most difficult of times,” Onesti said.
